I hear that all restrictions on access to blog sites in India have been rescinded. It is likely that the patchwork nature of the imposition of the controls is reflected in the process of taking the restrictions off. More later.

Umm….. my ISP still blocks all of them.
So it’s going to take as much time to unblock on all ISPs as it took for them to get all the blogging hosts blocked?
Sad.

Dhiraj, that is precisely what I expected and predicted. “It is likely that the patchwork nature of the imposition….is reflected in the process of taking the restrictions off…” These wheels grond slowly, but they grind exceeding small.

Hi JP, I just learnt from your post about the rescinding - and checked, yes, I can access my blog without the pkblogs bypass! Great! And thanks! Best, chutki.
P.S.: Just read a great piece in a friend’s blog, you might like it and it will surely give you food for thought:

I am a master student who studying MSc International Applied Communication in University of central Lancashire, Preston. I am currently doing a master dissertation and have chosen weblogs as my dissertation topic. to investigate the effectiveness of weblogs as a communication tool. In order to do this, I need to interview a number of bloggers of SMEs and was wondering whether you would be willing to take part in the project. Please could you email me back and let me know. Thank you.
