Bonnie was a sweetheart letting an unknown 17 year old kid like me backstage. I was in awe. I was a huge Duane Allman fan and knew the connection between the two performers. Delaney was kind enough to let me play the '61 sunburst Strat that Duane had given him. The strat that Duane used with Aretha and on most of the muscle shoals sessions. Needless to say I was thrilled. Delaney and Bonnie were nothing short of being absolutely kind to this young fan and made me feel like I was part of their world and I,ve never forgotton that night.
