Your picture of the “coolie” carrying the “burra sahib” led me to another thought stream: what’s happening on the Climb Everest conveyor belt these days….numerous unfit but able-to-pay people being carried to the summit by resolute Sherpas.

Super post. Big challenges for societies, organisations and individuals to keep eyes on longer term big issues with all the short term pressures; although perhaps what appear to be long term issues actually need pretty prompt attention to mitigate their impact.

I suspect that for some this is going to be an incredibly difficult year, so my positivity is equally balanced with a level of anxiety.

Going to be a big year of learning for all of us.

In the Indian context I’ve always believed, that we have everything to look forward to.There is a positive flow of ideas,expertise ,technology.Empowered as we are with the knowledge and enthusiasm of a massive youth population,Change is inevitable. Despite the enormous problems that have enervated the nation as a whole ,India can only move head on with zeal n vigour and the vision for a beautiful tomorrow. Welcome 2012 !
