Hand movements of Indian dance?
saying: “Friends, I’ll bee back in 3 days”
Are they hands making particular shadow shapes?
Are they the shapes the hand makes while playing marbles 1) to start the game and 2) and 3) to move the marble?
@celine, no not Indian dance
Nope. Not to do with shadows/
Nope, not to do with marbles either.
Cricket hand positions that correspond to a yorker,offsping, googly perhaps?
Hand signals used in trading.
Nope, not cricket signs
@clive, yes! These are some of the hand signals that were in use at the Bombay Stock Exchange in 1946. Similar signals were in use in Calcutta as well, akin to the tictac men on racecourses.

Slightly OT, but I saw a proposal to use Occupy-style hand signals in Skype meetings: http://www.nominettrust.org.uk/knowledge-centre/blogs/jazz-hands-how-to-run-skype-meeting
